For many teams, the first December meet of the year is to shake off some rust and get out of the monotony of training. As they go into Winter Break, athletes use these meets as a measuring stick as they go into their train. For some, however, they want to make a statement showing they are here to come and will foreshadow a great season.
Infinatti Rowe (Morgan State) highlights the performances from the weekend. Rowe set the top time in the nation this past weekend after winning the Women’s 800 at the Navy Invitational. Her time of 2:11.60 outpaced the 3rd fastest time in the nation by .19 seconds.
Here's a look at some athletes who have put the nation on notice from their performances at the respective meets. Remember, it is early so these times are not indicative of what they will run later in the season.
